Legal Requirements

You must be 21 years of age or older to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Susie Bynum Wines. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). Wines purchased from the Susie Bynum Wines are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.

Privacy and Payment

For your security, our web-based ordering process utilizes a technology known as Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This ensures that all sales transaction information is transferred via encrypted methods. Any data that we store about you is kept behind a secure firewall in our database and is not accessible to the public in any way.

All orders require a credit card. Upon submitting an order, all credit card numbers and related information are transmitted and stored using the encryption methods described above. You should be able to verify the security status by clicking on the closed lock icon at the end of the URL address bar of your browser.

The information that you provide us will not be shared or sold to other companies other than as necessary to fulfill your request, as for example, to ship an order. We collect personal information about you when you check out of our store such as your name, address, zip code, phone number, etc. We need this information to process payment and ship merchandise to you. The information is utilized so that we may offer a level of service commensurate with the quality of our wines.

Under no circumstances will we share any personal information that we collect with any third parties or websites. All the information you give us is completely private and used solely for order processing, shipping, and marketing by Susie Bynum Wines. By purchasing you give us the permission to send you marketing emails, but never does your email get sold or distributed to any other website or list. All email communications are regulated in the US by the CAN-SPAM act, so you may opt out of future emails at any time from any email sent to you.

Credit Card Charges

Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Upon completing a purchase, the customer authorizes Susie Bynum Wines to bill their credit card on file as applicable for all wines purchased, handing charges, taxes, and shipping costs as initiated by the customer. In placing an order, the customer authorizes Susie Bynum Wines to act on his/her behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver their order to them. Freight charges are determined by choice of carrier, speed of delivery, weight, and value.

Shipping

Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, Susie Bynum Wines may not be offered in your state. Please call or email Susie Bynum Wines for availability if you live outside of California.

All orders will be shipped via the shipping method chosen by the customer. Due to some state’s strict shipping regulations, we may be unable to ship to you directly; please check your state’s regulations.

Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by a common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the customer. We recommend shipping via an expedited shipping method during extreme weather temperatures. During extreme heat or cold we reserve the right to hold orders until cooler weather prevails in order to preserve the quality of the wine and ensure that it arrives to you in premium condition. Wine shipments resume as soon as the weather becomes cooler. While we attempt to monitor applicable weather conditions, we cannot control them and, notwithstanding any other statement herein, we make no warranty or representation as to what the conditions will be when the wine is shipped. We are not responsible for, and will not replace, wine that is damaged by weather or other conditions which arise during shipping. By placing an order you are accepting the responsibility for that shipment through whatever weather or other conditions may occur during that shipment. To ensure proper delivery, we recommend that orders be sent to a business address where sober adult (over 21 years of age) is available to sign for the order. Regardless of shipping destination one must be 21 years of age or older to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Susie Bynum Wines.

Returns Policy

We will refund you for any bottle of wine that is damaged, flawed, or that the customer finds unsatisfactory due to a defect. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error. Please send an email to info@susiebynumwines.com to arrange for a refund of a corked wine or flawed product.

If your order is damaged during shipment, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Refunds on damaged items are only issued once a claim is filed with the shipper. Once the issue is ascertained we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine less shipping and handling. If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges. Please contact us at the email above or through our website for instructions.

In purchasing through this website the customer acknowledges that it is the sole discretion of Susie Bynum Wines to issue any refund.
